January 2026 CWC Update
The first meeting of the Carrizozo Woman’s Club was held on 8 January 2026. COMMITTEE REPORTS Civic Engagement Non-Profit Summit Report – May 2 Community Yard Sale. Details to come. Blood Mobile – Janet The December date was canceled due to mechanical issues with the vehicle. It has been rescheduled for 1/24/2026. Sign up online at https://donors.vitalant.org/dwp/portal/dwa Volunteers rae needed to be present and provide access to restrooms: Janet, Colleen. Others are welcome :) Santa’s Helpers Report – Juaquina 61 families from Carrizozo were helped! This is a huge increase from last year! The $200 donation from the Carrizozo Woman’s Club was used to purchase 18 turkeys 5 turkeys were returned as the families did not have a means to cook them. Arrangements have been made to provide turkey smoking for families without cooking facilities. Toys for Tots donated 5 bicycles to Carrizozo children; Santa’s Helpers donated 1 bicycle.
